Hold me closer, my famous collaborator!

Okay, okay. We know it isn’t likely that Britney Spears‘ upcoming collaboration with Sir Elton John will contain this refrain, but we do know one thing is for sure: the excitement for the duo’s duet of John’s 1971 classic, “Tiny Dancer,” is palpable!

Yes, it’s true! Earlier last week, we reported on the big news Spears had been in the recording studio with the 75-year-old musician.

John has long been a vocal supporter of his favorite artists old and new by providing them with a platform for further exposure through his Apple Music radio show, Rocket Hour.

Although he has not had Spears as a guest on Rocket Hour- can you imagine?- he is quite fond of pop music’s biggest queens!

What We Know About Their Collaboration

According to Page Six’s original report, the idea for a collaboration had been “Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan.” A source also revealed to the outlet that the pair had recorded the “Tiny Dancer” remix in Beverly Hills, and described the recording session as being “super secret.”

The producer who oversaw the session isn’t a secret, however. The source also shared the “Tiny Dancer” duet had been “overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt,” and that the Beverly Hills-based recording studio where the magic had all unfolded belongs to Watt as well; the studio is reportedly in his basement.

As if the news of Spears and John’s collaboration couldn’t get any juicier, there is an overwhelming consensus of excitement among those who have heard the duet so far.

“They’ve already played it for people at their record label,” the source also revealed, “and everyone is freaking out, it’s so good.”

The steaks for the song are ALREADY high, and the world has yet to hear “Tiny Dancer’s” first note! “They’re saying this is going to be the song of the summer. Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited,” the source added.

Who Else Is Excited For The Duo’s Potential ‘Song Of The Summer?’

MEGA

The finished product of the duo’s rendition of “Tiny Dancer,” which had originally been released on John’s “Madman Across The Water” and had a cultural renaissance after it was used in Cameron Crowe’s autobiographical film “Almost Famous” in 2000, has reached a particular pair of very important ears!

This lucky listener has been a close and personal friend of Spears for decades. Most recently, this mystery friend opted to attend the star’s June nuptials to Sam Asghari instead of an event where the President of the United States had been in attendance. She also has a good ear; over the last few years, this certain celeb has added ‘deejay’ to her resume as well.

Paris Hilton had nothing but praise for her pal’s upcoming collaboration with a fellow legendary singer!

Harper’s Bazaar reported Hilton had divulged what she knew about “Tiny Dancer” on a recent episode of Paul Barewijk’s podcast, “Paul Voor Je Neus.”

“It’s gonna be iconic,” she revealed, “I just heard it a few days ago in Ibiza and it is… it’s insane!”

The ‘insane’ track is reportedly on its way to streaming services soon. According to our report, multiple sources had revealed to Page Six that the tune will be released next month via Universal Music!
