CHRIS Pine revealed the seemingly low salary he received for his breakout role and left fans shocked.
The 43-year-old actor recently did an interview and celebrated the launch of his career, which he considers to be The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

Chris spoke to Sunday TODAY about his role and revealed the wage he received.
The Don’t Worry Darling star revealed how he got the big news and how overjoyed he felt.
Chris was in the middle of driving and had to pull over to take the call.
“I was on my little Verizon tiny flip phone, my silver one, and I got a call from my agents that I booked the job,” Pine described.
“I pulled over onto the side of the freeway and they said, ‘You’re getting paid $65,000.’
“It was like they had just told me I’d made $50 million,” he told the host, 49, adding, “It was absolutely earth-shattering,” he continued.
“I just remember distinctly knowing in that moment my life had changed that day even though [$65,000] at the end of the day turned out to be about $15,000,” Chris laughed.
Chris explained that the feeling was short-lived as he owed his parents money so had to part with a lot of his small fortune.
He also added that his bank account was overdrawn at the time.
“But that is a wild feeling. I’ll never forget that.”
Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to express their shock at Chris’ news and suggested that his money was extremely low.
“This is kinda insane,” said one incredulous follower.
“This is one of the reasons I love Chris so much, he is a humble person, a simple man!” added another.
This was not the first time fans were shocked with Chris after the star debuted a completely new appearance change earlier this year.

Chris showed off his natural salt-and-pepper hair, with his head hidden beneath a bright blue baseball cap while his white beard went unshaven.
The Princess Diaries actor wore a white Big Boy restaurant tank top, with a branded graphic of the logo.
He layered the top with a printed, woven jacket, which he left unbuttoned in the breeze.
The television star added another eye-catching element to his look, opting for faded navy blue shorts.

The Jurassic World star looked a far cry from his red carpet days, but fans had previously accused the star of getting cosmetic surgery done when he appeared at the Venice Film Festival.

“Does Chris Pine do Botox? He looks weird,” said a second.
