Award-winning singer and mother-of-one Adele has revealed a discovery about her son Angelo.
Fans may recall that Angelo was born on October 19, 2012, from her past relationship with charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki, lasting nearly a decade. In an interview with ELLE, where she got candid about her long-running career and a “brutal” choice, Adele also teased fans with new info about her son’s favorite music star.

The “Rolling in the Deep” vocalist took her son to see Billie Eilish at The O2 months ago, and she revealed his obsession with Eilish, whose song lyrics he regularly revised. In Adele’s words, “He’ll go up to [his room] after school and read all the lyrics, and then he’ll want to discuss them.”
Meanwhile, back in July, she made her victorious return to the stage with two headlining nights at BST Hyde Park, a yearly summer festival in London. While the other headliners were all men, the “Chasing Pavements” singer gathered an all-women bill for her shows, including Kacey Musgraves and R&B songstress Gabrielle, also a childhood favorite.
She called London crowds “the best,” adding that they would have the time of their lives as the crowd would be drunk even before she went on stage. Following her performances in London, she planned to re-announce at some point her highly anticipated concerts in Las Vegas set to hold at the Colosseum.
Despite being excited about her Vegas shows, she previously canceled them with short notice, making the “brutal” and embarrassing choice due to not feeling the authenticity and soul of the artistic environment. Adele was devastated about her choice, but fortunately, the events have been rescheduled for toward the end of the year, with nightly shows on the weekend per week.
The announcement of the new shows marked the overdue high points of her latest album, “30,” filled with songs she barely performed or promoted except from two pre-taped television specials and her Hyde Park shows. This was so because she felt that promoting her music after her Vegas residency cancellation would make it seem like she did not care about the postponed shows.
In addition, Adele, who practically went into hiding following the news release about her show, did not want anyone to think she was not trying her best as she was.
Speaking of the album “30,” The Blast reported late last year that the “Set Fire to the Rain” singer opened up about it before its release, crediting the painful experience of her divorce. Amid her split from Konecki, her child had many questions to which she did not have answers, so she decided to use her songs to make everything clear to him. She elaborated:
“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.”
Adele acknowledged that Angelo was “really unhappy” about his parent’s divorce and, knowing so, felt like a “real wound” that would never be healed. It is worth knowing that writing the album for her baby began when he was nearly seven years old after he asked her a life-altering question that made her realize she needed to be more open to him.

Adele is grateful for the genuine love she has in her life, including that of her boyfriend, whom she recently gushed about while discussing several other career-related matters. The Blast shared that she and Paul met a few years back at a birthday bash where they were guests, and months after her divorce from her ex-husband, they started sparking dating rumors. They eventually went public later in 2021.
The fifteen-time Grammy winner has admittedly never been in love like she feels with her partner, with whom she is obsessed and wants more kids. While she did not say much about the rumors of her alleged engagement with the sports agent, she hinted that she would not mind tying the knot with her beloved. In her words:
“I’m just in loooove! I’m as happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.” However, she clarified that she was not engaged but loved “high-end jewelry.”
