This week we’re highlighting new music from Harry Styles, Porridge Radio, and mxmtoon.

Harry Styles – Harry’s House

The English singer/songwriter is back with his third solo album, Harry’s House. The house in question isn’t necessarily a physical place but a state of mind. “Imagine it’s a day in my house, a day in my mind,” he said. “What do I go through? I’m playing fun music. I’m playing sad music. I have doubts. I’m feeling stuff.” Much of the album’s songs were recorded with a handful of close friends and collaborators. ON the album, Styles explores an upbeat and intimate form of pop music that bumps up against a more electronic sound.

Standout Songs: Late Night Talking, As It Was, Daylight, Matilda, Cinema, Keep Driving, Boyfriends

Porridge Radio – Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky

Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky is the third full-length album from the Brighton quartet. Backed by the singles ‘Back to the Radio,’ ‘The Rip,’ and ‘End of Last Year,’ the band floats through the 12-track project with ease furthering their unique blend of indie/post-punk/sadcore/lofi sensibilities. Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky sees the band pushing to new heights as their sound and lyricism becomes more refined and developed than in previous incarnations.

Preceded by four singles (‘Mona Lisa,’ ‘Sad Disco,’ ‘Victim of Nostalgia,’ and ‘Coming of Age,’ Rising is a bright and inviting album that conjures up a fresh new vision of mxmtoon’s version of bedroom pop.
