Taylor Swift was very quick to move on from her celebration with Jackson Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. She gave her boyfriend’s quarterback’s brother a brief one-arm side hug on the field at Allegiant Stadium and immediately turned right around to walk away.
Swift was talking with her potential future mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, when the youngest Mahomes tapped her on the shoulder. It did not appear as though she was thrilled to see who it was.
The international pop superstar flashed a smile, offered a one-arm embrace, and immediately dipped out. Just moments later, someone else tapped Taylor Swift on the shoulder.
Her facial expression was a lot more joyful as they embraced to the fullest extent.
There was a stark contrast between the two interactions, which aired on the Nickelodeon broadcast.
Jackson Mahomes carries a pretty brutal reputation in the public eye. Whether it is warranted or not, he is not well liked among NFL fans or pop culture fans. The Swifties also turned against him after they discovered some of the controversial incidents in his past. Their distaste only escalated over the weekend after Mahomes was spotted in Las Vegas with Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
That did not go over well with anybody.
Even Brittany, Patrick’s wife, appeared to blow off Jackson when he was denied from her table at the club while in Nevada. The video (which may or may not be edited?) shows Jackson get shut down by the bouncer. Brittany looked over, shrugged, and went back to dancing.
Surely, Swift could not have been thrilled to know that Jackson was hanging out with her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. Especially when he was flirty and friendly with her on Instagram just a few months prior. And that happened after Nicole unfollowed Brittany on Instagram.
Maybe Swift’s brief hug with Jackson after the game was nothing more than that. But…
