NINTIES pop icon Paula Cole looks unrecognisable in her debut TikTok post.
Paula, 55, who sang Dawson’s Creek theme tune, I Don’t Wanna Wait, launched her account on the platform with a bang.
She shared a video of herself performing the iconic track on the piano while introducing herself to those who may be unfamiliar with her work.
The singer captioned the clip, “If you watched TV in the 90’s and early 2000’s you might remember #DawsonsCreek!
“That was acthally my song, I Don’t Wanna Wait, that was used for the theme song 🙂 #90skids #2000sthrowback.”
Her nostalgic fans were consumed with emotion and soon rushed to comment on the post.
One gushed, “My heart is bursting, tears roll down my cheeks and memories of my teenage years rush by. After all this time … Hello again, dear Paula. Thank you.”
Another added, “This song brings back so many memories and feelings,” alongside three crying emojis.
Someone else agreed, “omg you voice has matured so beautifully. sound even better than before. thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us.”
A fourth wrote, “The moment I first heard this song when I checked Dawson’s Creek (‘cause been hearing it since I was literally a child), I instantly fell in love with.”
Paula has racked up 39.5k followers since launching her TikTok account, a number which is sure to keep growing.
Dawson’s Creek ran for six seasons until 2003.
The WB teen drama followed the lives of a group of best friends who were students at Capeside High School.
It has since been made available on multiple streaming services including ITVX and Netflix.
