Marvel is still not ready to let go of Kang the Conqueror. An industry scooper has revealed certain information pointing the fans in that direction. Even though Marvel has officially scrapped the title to Avengers 5 from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Things changed after Jonathan Majors was proven guilty in the domestic abuse case last year. The actor appeared in the MCU for the first time in Loki Season 1 as He Who Remains, one of the many variants of Kang. Last year, Majors made his MCU feature debut with Ant-Man and the Wasp, Quantumania, and one month later, he was arrested for physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The verdict came out by the end of 2023, and Marvel immediately dropped him. Since then, there have been several speculations among the fans about who would be best suited to replace Jonathan.

The Color Purple star Colman Domingo and Tenet’s John David Washington’s name came up in the mix as the frontrunners for the role. The industry insider, Daniel Richtson, has claimed that Kang will still be the big villain in the Avengers movies, but the studio wants to add another villain with him. The scooper has made more claims regarding other MCU projects, including the much-awaited Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

It would be hard for Marvel to just magically drop Kang after they showed the Council of Kangs in the post-credit scene of Ant-Man 3. He will allegedly appear in Avengers 5 & 6. Let’s see what the netizens are feeling about this latest rumor.
