I live in a tent – people call me a ‘sponge mess’ and don’t want me to date their daughter but I don’t care, I’m happy

A MAN has revealed how trolls call him a “jobless sponge mess” and would rather he did not date their daughter because he lives outdoors.

The die-hard nature lover said he enjoyed the outdoors so much that instead of visiting it on his day off he wanted to live there permanently.

So, last year he decided to quit his job and move out of his house – and has been living outdoors ever since.

In one of his videos, he said: “I love nature so much I decided to move out of my house and live in it.

“People think I’m mad but some understand it, maybe three people.

“I had a full-time job and realised I didn’t need one, so I got a part-time job where I teach children bush craft in summer, which is perfect.

“I make investments with money, I invest in Rolls Royce, I would not trust my money in the bank.

“I have a car which helps me travel around and I use it to keep my stuff charged.

“I do not think about the past or future, there is only now and that’s how I live.”

Although he receives a lot of positive comments for his unusual way of living, some react negatively.

In one of the videos he reacts to a comment where a user called him a “jobless sponge mess” and would “rather” his daughter did not date him.

But he quickly snapped back: “I have a job by the way, I’m not homeless, my home is right there.

“I’m doing well, making a lovely stir fry out here, I’m doing well in my life.

“I did quit my full-time job to work part-time, so not quite jobless, a mess? Maybe.

“But I’m not out to impress anyone.”

The happy camper has been travelling to a multitude of places, including the Lake District, Shropshire and parts of Scotland.

In his videos viewers see him cooking, setting up his tent and trekking all over the country.

The carefree self described “hippy” has even started to make money from his videos – which will no doubt help him survive in the colder months.

He said: “I just wanted to say a big thank you to anyone who watched these videos.

“I am actually getting paid for it now, not a lot, I wont get rich from it, but it’s nice getting a bit of money doing something you love.”

And he’s not the only one choosing an alternate way of living, finding new ways ways to live and work has become increasingly more popular in the last few years.

A woman who lives on a canal boat is saving a ton of money when compared to a house, as she only has to pay £120 a month to run it.

She does however admit that some months are more expensive than others.

And this woman has told how she quit modern life and built a £200 off-grid home using tree branches.

Some are even buying transit vans and turning them into homes-on-wheels, as this man bought a Fiat Ducato L3H2 and set to work transforming it into a super stylish new pad.
