A PLUS-SIZE woman with the so-called apron belly has revealed she’ll remain confident in her body no matter what cruel trolls have to say.
Stylish fashionista Lindsey is a size 22/24 and has an apron belly, which is medically known as a pannus stomach.
According to Very Well Health, the term is used to describe a sagging stomach or skin that hangs from the abdomen, which sometimes occurs after pregnancy or weight changes.
Not exclusive to plus-size people only, having a pannus stomach is normal for many people – however, it can also cause discomfort and skin infections.
Hundreds of social media users are now dedicating their platforms for body positivity, no matter the shape or size, and amongst them is also Lindsey, who proudly calls herself ”Apron Belly Girlie” on Instagram.
For many years, Lindsey recently told her followers, she, too, thought there were many styles that were simply going to be ”off limits” for her due to her curves, such as jeans and crop tops.
The fashion lover, from Texas, the USA, would also steer clear of sporting bodycon dresses and swimsuit without a skirt on top.
However, after finally embracing and learning how to love her body, Lindsey now wears whatever she wants, whether that’s a figure-hugging outfit or a mini dress.
”It’s not about not being about to wear something, it’s about finding the right FIT for your body type and finding styles that feel like YOU,” the brunette beauty reminded social media users in a video.
”I’m in my Baby from Dirty Dancing era, my Calvin Klein model era, my classic summer era.
”Whatever this era is, it is screaming confidence.”
She added that there were also ”some folks” who didn’t like seeing a plus-size girl beaming with confidence, especially when she has a larger apron belly.
To those who are struggling with finding the same level of confidence she has, Lindsey had a simple message – find fashion pieces and looks that ”make you feel good”.
‘Bro’s got the Mike Wazowski build’
But whilst Lindsey’s page has won her close to 3k fans on Instagram and more than 150k on TikTok, the fashionista has also been brutally mocked by cruel trolls.
One meanie, for instance, wondered: ”Is this build naturally achievable?”
Someone else, meanwhile, compared the stunner to a character from the cult favourite animated movie, Monsters Inc.
”Bro’s got the Mike Wazowski build.”
A third chimed in: ”Your body so confused like it wanna be skinny and you just like nah I’m good.”
Luckily, there’s also been heaps of support from people who urged others to be kinder to one another.
”Can’t a person in clothes just exist? Comments in here are unnecessary,” wrote one Instagram user.
Another agreed, adding: ”We are all different.. beautiful in our own way.”
”I love that you love and embrace your plus size, your figure, your body!! Self love means loving the self your in!” someone else penned.
