Henry Moodie to perform FREE gig in partnership with Azar to combat the ‘January blues’

Henry Moodie is to team up with popular social platform Azar host a one-time-only exclusive gig in Birmingham this January.

In a bid to remind people of the importance of “human interaction for mental wellbeing during one of the most isolating times of the year”, the 19-year-old TikTok sensation will perform at the cities university during what is often dubbed the ‘bluest’ month of the year.

Following research from Census Wide that almost 60% of Gen Z struggle to make connections in real life, Azar aims to tackle problems of loneliness by offering everyone the  opportunity to win tickets to the exclusive gig and build relationships with fellow fans both online and in real life.

Commenting on the show – which both parties hope will motivate young people to step outside of their comfort zone and push their social boundaries – the ‘fight or flight’ singer says: “I’m part of the generation that has grown up with social media, always able to hide behind our phones and I realise how difficult it can be to connect with new people. It’s so important for me to help people my age to get out there, make memories, and develop real-life connections, and I hope this gig is the kick-starter for lots of long-standing relationships.”

To be in with the chance of attending the one-off gig, users will need to download the Azar app and enter their details before January 5th, 2024.

Azar have also partnered with popular UK illustrator Tess-Smith Roberts for the campaign, who has curated an incredible art mural takeover in the University of Birmingham bathrooms, putting a twist on a space that is often used to escape and instead inspiring Gen Z to “look up from their screens and connect with those around them”.

The artwork is featured in the bathrooms by the gig venue, with smaller replicas in neighbouring universities Birmingham City and Aston.
