The Grand Ole Opry hosted Opry Goes Dolly, Dolly’s 78th birthday tribute, with a star-studded line-up on Friday.

However, fans were concerned for Elle, 34, who appeared to be slurring her words while singing and talking to the crowd.

In a video taken by a fan in attendance, Elle said that someone in the crowd wasn’t getting their money back and appeared to be arguing with them.

“And I’ll tell you one more thing,” she said.

“Hi, I’m Elle King, and I’m f**king hammered.”

A woman next to her on stage was talking and Elle interrupted her immediately and sang that she was “celebrating Dolly’s birthday.”

The TikTok user that posted the video said that Rob Schneider‘s daughter said f**k 15 times before they recorded the video and forgot the words to Dolly’s song, Marry Me, that she was supposed to sing.

Another attendee that took a video said that Elle said, “I don’t give a s**t” in the middle of her performance.

“At the end, they shut the curtain on her, ended the variety show, and said goodnight,” the video caption read.

‘WE DEEPLY APOLOGIZE’

The Grand Ole Opry tweeted that American Idol alum Lauren Aliana would not be able to attend Dolly’s birthday tribute.

Under that tweet, a fan expressed their disappointment over Elle’s performance and the venue apologized.

“I wish she would’ve been there because Elle King ruined the night with her horrible, drunk, and profane performance,” the X, formerly Twitter, user wrote.

“Dolly Parton would’ve been mortified. For our first time at The Opry, it was a shame we all had to witness that.”

The Opry replied, “We deeply regret and apologize for the language that was used during last night’s second Opry performance.”

The original tweeter replied, “It was such a disappointment to spend $300 on tickets for a show where one of the artists ruined an entire night.”

“I mean it’s The Opry, the greatest country venue in the world. That performance was like lackluster karaoke performer wasted out of their minds. Awful.”

‘GET HER HELP’

Fans flocked to social media to express concern for Elle and to say how disappointed they were.

“Someone get Elle King some help. First the NYE disaster and now she has disrespected Dolly in the Mother Church,” one fan tweeted.

“Elle King being dragged on TikTok over what she did is expected you don’t disrespect queen dolly,” said another.

“Elle King. how disrespectful. not only to dolly, but to every single person who has walked on that stage. i seriously cannot even believe it,” a third added.

“I hope Elle King gets the help she clearly needs and can get sober,” a concerned fan said.

“I think Elle King could have gotten away with that for anyone else’s birthday celebration but Dolly Parton? the people’s princess? yeah she can’t avoid cancellation at this point,” another fan tweeted.

“#ElleKing disgraced one of the biggest legends of not just country, but of the world. How dare you. #mess,” one last fan wrote.

‘GO HOME GIRL’

This isn’t the first time Elle performed drunk at a major event.

She performed her song  Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home) that features Miranda Lambert on New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash on December 31.

While singing, Elle walked down the catwalk stage and used a high-pitched voice singing the lyrics, “Baby, I’m drunk and I don’t wanna go home” all while adding “Who does?” at the end.

As they were watching her perform one of her most popular songs, fans shared their honest thoughts on X.

“#ElleKing on #CBSNashvilleNYE broadcast was absolutely cringe worthy. A fitting way to say goodbye to 2023,” one wrote.

“Someone stop her this awful she is awful,” another said.

“Elle King is already drunk….I can’t wait to see how smashed she is at Midnight!!” a third added.

“Elle King is drunk and doesn’t want to go home. Hell, she’s Janis Joplin type of wasted, although Joplin performed very well when wasted,” claimed a fourth, referring to the singer’s hit song that she sang.

“I can’t believe there isn’t anyone who couldn’t jump in and sing with #ElleKing. This is bad, cringy, just not good,” one last fan said.
