Destiny’s Child Star LeToya Luckett in Workout Gear Shares Strength-Training Workout — Celebwell

Singer and actress LeToya Luckett is showing fans and followers exactly how she lost 55 pounds and kept it off after having babies in 2019 and 2020. Luckett, one of the founding members of Destiny’s Child, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a matching shirt, working out with weights at the gym. “2024 let’s goooo! ✨ The regimen is in full effect! I’m on! Consistent with the gym. Consistent with eating clean (except a few cheeze-it’s I stole from Gigi 😅) Consistent with my water and consistent with my @bodycompleterx supplements. 🙌🏼 I will not lose! I’m locked in! Who’s with me?” she captioned the post. Here’s what Luckett’s “2024 glow regimen” looks like and how she stays fit and strong.

Luckett’s workout routine is focused on strength training using heavy weights. “Choose a weight or resistance level heavy enough to tire your muscles after about 12 to 15 repetitions,” say the experts at the Mayo Clinic. “When you can easily do more repetitions of a certain exercise, gradually increase the weight or resistance. Barbells and dumbbells are classic strength training tools. If you don’t have weights at home, you can use soup cans. Other options can include using medicine balls or kettlebells.”

Luckett’s cardio sessions involve running with her baby in a jogging stroller. “Light tends to elevate people’s mood, and unless you live in a glass house or are using a light box to treat seasonal affective disorder, there’s usually more light available outside than in,” say the experts at Harvard Health. “Physical activity has been shown to relax and cheer people up, so if being outside replaces inactive pursuits with active ones, it might also mean more smiles and laughter.”

Luckett’s known for her style, something she says is in her genes. “I think my mom and my grandmother are why I gravitated towards fashion,” she told Essence. “My grandmother loved her shoes and handbags, and mother always taught me to carry myself like a lady,” she said glowingly. “The way that I walk out of my house everyday is the way people are going to perceive me, unfortunately. But fashion has just always been intriguing to me – the way that a dress compliments a bag and the rest of its accessories; I have always been into that. It’s just something that I think has been tucked away, but I’m living it out loud right now.”

Luckett is excited about how artists have more control over their work these days. “The music industry changes minute to minute it feels like,” she told Essence. “I think with social media, YouTube, and things like that, people are able to put their music out and they’re able to be more hands on with their music, and how they reach people – and I’m definitely going to take advantage of that with my next album.”

Luckett lifts weights at the gym, using both barbells and dumbbells to give her squats and lunges an edge. Here is Luckett’s ‘glow regimen’ in full:

  1. 80/20 Diet
  2. 60 minute workout 4 times a week
  3. Walk 30 minutes a day
  4. 64 oz water daily
  5. 80 grams of protein daily
  6. Stay consistent with @bodycompleterx
