Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) will have to find someone else to confide in if she wants to get anything else off her chest. According to SOD, Jasper Newman has exited as Colin Bedford and wrapped his run on June 29.
Of course, we should point out that actors have been known to pop up after their exit airdate.
Since the show films so far in advance, sometimes that can create confusion when it comes to an official departure.
If the June 29 episode was truly the end of the road for Jasper Newman as Colin, he finished on a bizarre note.
It was strange for Sloan to confess all her secrets to Colin if the show’s not going to do anything with that.
Since Colin is the kind of Days character who can’t be trusted, it would’ve been smart for him to put some pressure on Sloan.
Perhaps Colin could’ve used Sloan’s rigged paternity test knowledge as leverage and threatened to spill if Sloan didn’t get him off the hook.
However, the real point of those scenes might’ve been to highlight Sloan’s guilt and show a little more sibling bonding before Jasper Newman’s stint as Colin concluded.
Colin still refuses to plead guilty, so Sloan can’t cut him a deal and will have to take the case to trial unless he changes his mind.
Days doesn’t really use courtroom sets lately, so that trial will no doubt happen offscreen.
Sloan feels confident that Colin is headed to prison, which is obviously where he deserves to be after all the horrible things he did to Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian).
Days villains tend to have expiration dates, so most DOOL fans won’t be sorry to see Colin go!
It’s time for Colin to face his punishment and hopefully never get the chance to hurt anyone for many years to come.
As for Sloan, she’ll keep juggling her secrets and scheming to keep Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) by her side with a baby, but her plan’s destined to go awry!
