In a move reminiscent of Tomorrowland’s Global Journey flight, AirAsia recently transformed a routine trip from Kuala Lumpur to Bali into an electrifying in-air rave.
On December 6th, unsuspecting passengers aboard this particular flight were treated to a unique experience that has since caused a stir on social media, particularly on TikTok. The occasion was AirAsia’s 22nd birthday and it was soundtracked by Malaysian DJ duo BATE.
For those who had otherwise anticipated a quiet ride, the crew was kind enough to provide eye masks and earplugs. But at a cursory glance it seems most were eager to participate in the festivities, donning LED glow sticks amid a dimly lit cabin.
AirAsia rewarded passengers for a limited time with 22% discounts on price to celebrate the company’s most recent milestone. Some of those lucky fliers were even able to receive complimentary flights given their participation in a competitive quiz.
