Miami-based DJ and dance music producer Malóne has launched a new record label and event series, WHYNOTUS.
Rooted in community and cultural celebration, the imprint, Malóne says, is dedicated to uplifting artists who echo his rich heritage as a Latin American in Magic City. As a resident DJ at Club Space, Malóne is well-suited to fly the flag.
“WHYNOTUS is going to be a platform for myself to express who I am and who I want to be as an artist moving forward,” he said in a statement. “But more importantly, it’ll be a place where I can sign dope music from artists around the world and create an international community.”
WHYNOTUS launches by virtue of Malóne’s new single “444,” a captivating fusion of Afro-infused rhythms, pulsating basslines and infectious vocals that invites us to surrender to the dancefloor. Its fiery drum programming propels the arrangement forward, capturing the magic of today’s red-hot tech house scene.
