Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! I consider myself a bit of a neutral person when it comes to the holiday; I’m no cynic, and I also accept any excuse to celebrate the people in my life. But holidays like this can also feel like they come with a lot of pressure and the demand to meet certain expectations. Whether you’re happily coupled up, still in the yearning phase, or embracing single life, everything feels better with a great soundtrack.

Today, I narrowed down some of the K-pop songs I love about love, from breakup feelings to insecurity, contentment, and beyond. So below, in alphabetical order, you can enjoy ten songs applicable to any sort of Valentine’s Day you might be embracing. Scroll to the bottom for the full playlist. Love you!

BTS – “Euphoria”

If the sweetness this song invokes applies to your love life, massive congratulations are in order. Regardless, this is one of my favorite songs, maybe of all time? I do think I listen to it most days, but giving it a spin on Valentine’s Day feels especially correct.

CIX – “Rebel”

Not only is this CIX track brimming with desperate, dramatic yearning, it also features one of the catchiest chorus melodies I’ve ever heard. To say I was obsessed with this song in 2020 would be a massive understatement — happy to report it still hits.

ENHYPEN – “Sweet Venom”

I’m so endeared by the way ENHYPEN slip in and out of the vampire theme in their music, but this song is just a blast overall. This one’s for anyone feeling a little more playful today.

LE SSERAFIM – “Impurities”

For those of us feeling a little more bold and vulnerable today, this b-side from LE SSERAFIM is the perfect soundtrack.

Monsta X – “MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT”

If this is your vibe, I’m absolutely manifesting that your situationship ends soon. Stay safe out there. I’m rooting for you.

NewJeans – “Super Shy”

Every day is a good day for this bop, but play it extra loud if you’re trying to get up the nerve to start charming the object of your affections. I believe in you!
