Stranger Things Star Amybeth McNulty in Two-Piece Workout Gear Wears Pink

Amybeth McNulty is flashing her abs in pink. In a new social media post the Stranger Things star shows off her impressive midsection in a sports bra. “Redheads absolutely can wear pink,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Sunning,” commented one of her followers, while another added “woweeewoweeeewoweeee.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Amybeth enjoys swimming. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

Another outdoor activity that Amybeth is a fan of? Biking. “A silly girl getting her silly leg stuck on her silly bike. In other news hello London!!” she captioned another post. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Amybeth loves hiking with her friends. “Gal pals on a hike.. and the aftermath,” she wrote about this photo. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

Kayaking is another outdoor activity Amybeth is a fan of. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.

Amybeth is a coffee drinker. “Coffee date,” she captioned a photo. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
