WHEN trying to find your perfect partner, it can often feel like you are looking for love in all the wrong places.

One influencer has taken matters into her own hands though, by leaving her number on luxury cars as she tries to bag a rich husband.

Like many women, Ellen Hellkvist had become fed up with dating apps.

Rather than leaving things up to fate, the Dubai based influencer set out to find herself a husband and has adopted a rather unusual dating tactic.

Whilst others are playing it coy, she is extremely upfront about what she wants and has even filmed herself holding a cardboard sign saying ‘I’m looking for a rich husband’ in the city’s financial district.

Scoping out the businessmen whilst on they are on their lunch break, the content creator wore a stunning monochromatic outfit with hounds tooth trousers, chic sunnies and black blazer.

The blonde bombshell even pretended to stare into the distance, as her hilarious caption read: “When the dating apps don’t work, just got to DIFC during lunch hours.”

Her tongue-in-cheek video has received over 30,000 views, with it not being the only time she’s joked about looking for love.

In another viral video, she even filmed herself running around the car park of Dubai’s Mall and leaving her number on various luxury cars.

This task was made even harder, as the content creator wore sky-high stilettoes with white shorts, a bejewelled top and design accessories.

Though it might not be a guaranteed way to find the love of your life, this didn’t stop Ellen from seeing the funny side and joking in the caption: “Guess how many missed calls I have.”

Whilst you’ve got to love her determination, the viral video has been targeted by trolls after it racked up over 7 million views on Tiktok.

My millionaire man got me endless gifts for Valentine’s Day but it means nothing when I’m so spoilt every day

One irate viewer even commented an emoji of a red flag and called the influencer a ‘gold-digger’ after the video went viral.

Some agreed and added it was a ‘desperate move’, despite Ellen’s video being largely playful.

Others questioned the influencer’s tactic, with many fans asking why she scrawled her number on a generic piece of paper – instead of going for something more up market.

“Throw the notebook paper away,” argued another fan, adding:  “If you’re gonna do the most go all the way. Get yourself business card stock and scent it.”

Meanwhile, viewers also wondered whether the influencer was having much luck playing matchmaker and whether she should change her choice of car.

“You should focus on the 2 seater sports cars…those 4×4’s are the wives cars,” wrote a third, with a fourth viewer teasing: “I wonder if you got any angry wives calling to yell at you.”

Though we don’t have an update just yet, one fan did reveal that they’d tried a similar technique after seeing a luxury car locally.

“Did this once, it was a lambo,” they admitted, writing: “Lady driver.”

Hopefully, it was love at first license plate for this influencer.
