Delilah Rene shot to stardom in the mid 90s with her nightly radio program.

The now 64-year-old continues to receive and share sometimes personal calls, emails, and letters from listeners living through a variety of life milestones.

Her show and format served as some of the inspiration for the hit movie Sleepless in Seattle.

But with the death of drive-time radio, many fans have wondered where she went.

Well, Delilah herself took to TikTok to answer that – and chide her fans for leaving her.

“I never left. I didn’t,” she gently said while lying on a bed and talking to the camera. “You. You’re the one that left home. You’re the one that grew up.

“You’re the one that went to Spotify or wherever you went.

“But I’m still on the radio.”

She continued, “I’m still here. With the voice. With the candles. Ready to take over the world with sappy love songs,” before demanding, “Come home!”

READER RESPONSE

Fans in the comments section were shocked to be scolded by the song spinner.

“Not Delilah calling us out,” one person said, as another observed, “Our girl throwing shade.”

“Mama Delilah ain’t playing with us,” a third noted.

“She’s like, ‘I said what I said.'” another said.

“Gotta love her even more for keeping it real!” a final person gushed.

TRAGIC TIMES

Delilah, who so often helps others through their sad times, has had many of her own.

She has 15 children, 11 of whom were adopted – but has lost three tragically.

Delilah’s son Sammy was just 16-years-old when he died of complications from sickle-cell anemia in 2022.

She also lost her 18-year-old son Zachariah to suicide in 2017. While stepson, Ryan, died at the end of 2019.

The host turned to grief counselors and support groups, and temporarily paused her program after Zachariah took his life.

Delilah previously told the PEOPLE Every Day podcast with Janine Rubenstein that her challenge now is to keep going – for herself and her sons.

“I can’t stop living just because they did,” she said. “I have to keep moving forward to be the best person that I can be.

“And so that’s what I do every day.

“Every day I thank God that they’re safe with him. Every day I thank God that they’re not hurting. That the boys are not in pain. That they’re in paradise, and that one day we’ll all be there.”
