Bollywood Star Malaika Arora In Yellow Workout Gear Is “Killing It”

Bollywood star Malaika Arora is dedicated to her health and fitness routine, which includes intense workout sessions with her personal trainer. Arora, 50, shared a video of herself wearing yellow shorts and a matching sports bra, doing a mat workout at home. “Always killing it, this one ♥️Starting the week off with some fun cardio and a dose of Casper’s energy ☺️💪,”  trainer Jahnavi Patwardhan captioned the Instagram post. Here’s how Arora is in the best shape of her life in her 50s.

Arora believes beauty comes from healthy habits. “I believe beauty is inner health,” she told Harper’s Bazaar India. “If you are healthy and good from within, you can take on any new change or trend and ace it. I believe that being beautiful inside is more important than being beautiful outside. For this, one needs to lead a healthy lifestyle. Have lots of fruits and fresh juices, sleep on time, drink lots of water, exercise regularly and keep an active lifestyle. We are aware of all this but sometimes just need a little extra nudge to follow it.”

Arora prefers clean beauty products and swears by regular Pilates sessions. “I start my day with warm water and lemon every morning,” she told Femina. “I use organic, chemical-free make-up as much as possible and ensure that I remove my make-up every night before bed – in fact I cleanse twice while removing my make-up. I also oil my hair once a week. A sunscreen is important – even in the winter. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – it’s my perpetual mantra! Keep active for at least 30 minutes everyday – my favorite go-to exercise is Pilates.”

Arora makes most of her food at home, rarely eating out. “I do intermittent fasting, so I don’t eat anything in the morning because my last meal is at 7-7:30 in the night,” she told Times of India. “So, I fast for about 16 to 18 hours. I start my day with a lot of liquids, which is warm water, ghee or coconut oil, in the morning. The liquid could be whatever you like–plain water, jeera water, or water with lime. I do all of that in the morning and I break my fast with nuts–walnuts and a mix of nuts that I have.”

Arora takes break from screens for her mental health. “Practicing detachment from the noise on social media can be challenging but not impossible,” she told Harper’s Bazaar India. “It requires setting clear boundaries, limiting screen time and being mindful of emotional responses. Having self-awareness and focusing on real-life connections can help create a healthier relationship with social media. I also take breaks and prioritize mental well-being to find a balance and reduce the impact of the online world on my emotions.”

Arora’s beauty mantra is based on self-love and inner beauty. “I have three fundamental rules when it comes to beauty. Firstly, I advocate embracing uniqueness,” she told Harper’s Bazaar India. “It means recognising that beauty cannot be confined to a single standard but rather stems from embracing and celebrating your distinctiveness and unique attributes. Secondly, I emphasize the importance of prioritizing self-care, both physically and mentally. It plays a crucial role in exuding inner beauty and confidence. Lastly, I encourage individuals to be kind, compassionate and understand that genuine beauty emanates from acts of empathy, thereby contributing to a more beautiful world for all.”
