Porno for Pyros will make their upcoming “Horns, Thorns, En Halos” farewell tour available for everyone to experience. The band’s February 18th gig at The Belasco in Los Angeles will be viewable as a paid livestream via the streaming service VEEPS.
After reuniting to play a few festival gigs and club shows in 2022, Porno for Pyros revealed that their first full-fledged tour in more than a quarter century would also be their last. The North American outing kicks off February 13th in Santa Ana, California, and runs though a March 10th show in Montclair, New Jersey (pick up tickets here).
In speaking with Heavy Consequence, frontman Perry Farrell discussed the band’s decision to make their reunion tour a farewell outing. “Well, I think the way to look at it … this is just my business – how I’ve got my life set up,” said the singer. “So, I’ve got Porno for Pyros, I’ve got Jane’s Addiction, got Lollapalooza. So, I’ve got all these beautiful things.”
He continued, “With Porno for Pyros, what I can see for in my life – put out these [new] songs, do this tour.”
In addition to Farrell, Porno for Pyros’ touring lineup will feature his Jane’s Addiction bandmate Stephen Perkins (drums), as well as guitarist Peter DiStefano and bassist Mike Watt. Founding bassist Martyn LeNoble opted out of the tour, despite recording the new songs with band.
Regarding the livestream, the band stated, “We’re excited to welcome you to our home and want to capture the energy from the final show in Los Angeles as if you are there with us. Your support means the world to us and this is a way for us to keep memories alive with you.”
