Lawrence says when you watch her on TV, what you see is what you get. “I hope people think I represented Toronto well,” she says about her time on Too Hot To Handle. “I just was 100 percent myself. I was like, you know what? I’m just going to be the crazy one on the show, the dorky one, completely myself. I was just like, I’ll just be the weird one. Yeah, I think I did good, I hope. For me it was easy because I just didn’t have to think about it. I just said what I wanted to say, I did what I wanted to do.”

Lawrence is a Toronto native, and knows exactly where she would take someone on a date to explore the city. “I probably would take them to maybe The Chase, Harbour 60 is nice, and then go down to the water,” she says. “Honestly, I’m a really big homebody. I like to go to a couple bars but then I like to come home for my dogs.”

Lawrence is an accomplished swimmer and diver. “Research has shown that being near, in, on or under water can provide a long list of benefits for our mind and body, including lowering stress and anxiety, increasing an overall sense of well-being and happiness, a lower heart and breathing rate, and safe, better workouts,” says Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, author of the book Blue Mind.

Lawrence works out hard—and she isn’t afraid of heavy weights. “Lean muscle mass naturally diminishes with age,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Your body fat percentage will increase over time if you don’t do anything to replace the lean muscle you lose over time. Strength training can help you preserve and enhance your muscle mass at any age.”

“What I want in a relationship—this is what I need in a partner, what’s important to me,” Lawrence says. “I need a guy who’s going to respect me and listens to me. Really feeling safe with a partner, trust is a huge thing for me. I’ve had my trust broken so many times, girlfriends, boyfriends, family… so my biggest thing is trust. I want to be able to trust my partner.”
