This year marks the 20th anniversary of Ted Leo and the Pharmacists’ indie rock classic, Shake the Sheets. To commemorate the occasion, the band has announced a run of 2024 tour dates where they’ll play the album in its entirety.
Kicking off on June 19th in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the 10-date tour will take the group to cities like Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, and more, before wrapping on November 16th in Los Angeles. At each stop, fans can expect a “full band” set featuring “Shake the Sheets in its entirety (plus more, obviously),” according to a statement from Leo. Check out the full list of dates below.
An artist pre-sale begins Wednesday, February 14th (use code STS20), with tickets available via Ticketmaster and Leo’s website. A public on-sale will follow on Friday, February 16th.
Joining Ted Leo and the Pharmacists will be Ekko Astral and Diners. Speaking about the groups, Leo praised Ekko Astral as “one of the greatest bands I’ve heard in YEARS. I think they’re a beautiful, heavy, punk, and dare I say, important band, and I’m honored that they’re joining us for that leg.”
As for Diners, Leo cited their 2023 album, Domino, as featuring “two of the greatest power pop songs that I’ve heard, yes, I’m gonna say it… IN YEARS. Thrilled to have them join us, as well.”
