Dwayne Johnson and John Cena had successful careers in Hollywood, but they became famous WWE wrestlers. However, when Johnson diverted to acting, he received a flak from Cena. The Peacemaker actor mocked The Rock for his film Tooth Fairy, and their feud was all over the media back then. It is now just water under the bridge, and they are reportedly past that. John also regretted dissing Dwayne. Keep scrolling to learn more.

Dwayne started his film career with films like The Mummy Returns and The Scorpion King. On the other hand, Cena started his film career with The Marine and did movies like The Suicide Squad, The Wall, Trainwreck, and more. He also had his web series, Peacemaker, in the DC extended universe. The Rock was also part of the old DC universe, as he was featured in and as Black Adam. Both Dwayne and John have been part of the Fast & Furious franchise.

In the early 2010s, John Cena reportedly coaxed Dayne Johnson’s choice of pivoting to acting. However, he returned to WWE, but John felt like The Rock gave more importance to his acting job. As per CBS News, the Black Adam star, in a video, called out Cena for previously accusing him of being a liar. Dwayne wore John’s hat and chain, and as he ripped those off, he said, “It all started with you, John Cena, publicly running your mouth about me, calling me a liar when I say I love the WWE.”

Dwayne Johnson’s reaction came after John Cena mocked his career choice and rapped, “I guess I was really excited to see him last Monday. But…I think he was pretty much making fun of me. I should probably say something about that, right?” Referring to Dwayne’s film Tooth Fairy, Cena added, “Finally The Rock came back, and everyone was getting with it ’till he said I was talking trash, but he would never be specific. It’s because I wasn’t talking trash, Rock; I was talking truth. You left us hanging high and dry to play a fairy with a tooth?”

However, years later, John Cena reflected on his behavior and, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, admitted that Dwayne Johnson’s success gave him many opportunities, and he was grateful for that. He also mentioned that it was ignorant of him to say something like that about him. They have both established themselves in Hollywood, and their loyal fans cheer for them when they are in the ring or on the big screen.
