THE TWENTY-fourth season of The Voice reached its conclusion on Tuesday as Huntley was crowned this year’s champion.
Despite this year’s series being the first not to feature any of the original coaches from the show’s inaugural season, it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Who won The Voice season 24?
After the overnight votes from viewers were tallied up, host Carson Daly named Huntley as the winner of The Voice Season 24.
The 33-year-old singer from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was coached by former One Direction member Niall Horan, who became just the third coach to win back-to-back seasons.
The newly crowned champion said he was “so surprised” when he heard his name read out as the winner on Tuesday night.
“When my name got called I genuinely couldn’t believe it,” Huntley told Entertainment Tonight.
He added: “It’s insane. This has all been so worthwhile and I’m so hungry for this.”
As a result of his success, Huntley walks away with $100,000 and a contract with Universal Music Group.
Who was in the final of The Voice season 24?
Huntley was the only male singer in the final as he was left competing against Ruby Leigh, Mara Justine, Jacquie Roar and Lila Forde.
Ruby finished as runner-up but the decision left plenty of fans slamming the “rigged” results for “robbing” her of victory.

Under Reba McEntire’s stewardship, many fans felt the singer from Foley, Missouri, deserved the win.
Mara Justine, who was also coached by Niall, finished in third place.
The reality TV show contestant from Galloway, New Jersey had previously gained a following for competing on American Idol and America’s Got Talent.
In fourth-place was Reba’s second artist, Jacquie Roar.
Jacquie, who hails from Chicago but currently resides in North Plains, Oregon, previously sung the national anthem for NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.
And in fifth place was Lila Forde, who was coached by John Legend.
The musician from Seattle, Washington, released her first EP in January 2021 before making her debut on The Voice.
Which coach has won the most on The Voice?
Niall made history after Huntley’s victory saw him win back-to-back seasons of The Voice.
However, he isn’t the only coach to achieve this feat, with two others doing so before him.
Blake Shelton actually went one better by winning three series in a row from seasons 2 to 4.
The country music singer coached Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradberry to a trio of consecutive victories between 2011-2013.
Kelly Clarkson’s also previously claimed consecutive wins in seasons 14 and 15.
The singer-songwriter coached Brynn Cartelli and Chevel Shepherd to victory in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
