Tia Mowry & Cory Hardrict Divorcing After 14 Years of Marriage

After 14 years of marriage, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict are calling it quits.

Mowry, 44, filed for divorce from Hardrict, 42, in Los Angeles on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reports.

The Sister, Sister actress took to Instagram on Monday to share the news with her followers.

“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different,” Mowry wrote. “I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

Hours later, she posted another message on her Instagram Stories. “Letting go can be painful. But, it won’t hurt as much as holding on to an allusion.”

Mowry and Hardrict, who met in 1999 on set of the movie Hollywood Horror, were married on May 20, 2008 and have two children together, Cree, 11 and Cairo, 4. Mowry has requested the couple share joint and physical custody of their kids. She also asked the judge to “terminate” spousal support, according to People.

While Mowry is best known for her role in ABC’s 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister, Cory Hardrict is an actor as well. He currently stars on the CW series All American: Homecoming and has appeared in films including American Sniper.
