The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans will soon see a new face in the role of Harrison Abbott, who’s currently played by Kellen Enriquez. Y&R viewers will want to give a warm welcome to Redding Munsell as he takes over the part.
Harrison first showed up in Genoa City back in 2021 when it came out that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) cheated on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Kyle was confirmed to be Harrison’s biological father – and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) became the main mother figure in Harrison’s life after Tara went to prison on embezzlement charges.
Now Harrison is in need of a new nanny and has clearly warmed up to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) as a potential babysitter.
However, Summer has become quite adamant that Claire shouldn’t be anywhere near Harrison due to her disturbing history and mental instability.
Of course, something tells us Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may end up clashing with Summer on this issue.
There’s a good chance Kyle and Claire are going to enter a new romantic pairing, so it makes sense to have him defend Claire and her bond with Harrison as this story moves along.
That bond will have an opportunity to grow stronger since we know Harrison has new scenes in the works.
Redding Munsell will make his first Y&R appearance on April 12, so that’s when he’ll officially take over the role of Harrison on-screen.
Munsell played Jake on Red, White and Blue, which was an Oscar-nominated live action short film.
You can also catch Munsell in Hurricanna, an upcoming movie about the final days of Anna Nicole Smith.
It’ll be interesting to see Munsell’s spin on Harrison and find out more about the drama his Claire connection will stir up.
