The Best Pieces of ‘Simpsons’ Literature

Though most Simpsons characters could hardly be described as “well read,” the series itself has made many meaningful contributions to the written word — like how it came up with an alternate ending for Little Women.

The world of The Simpsons is chock-full of fake media that sparks the imagination. From Stop This Planet of the Apes, I Want To Get Off! to Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge so many fictional pieces of entertainment make us envious of the Springfield denizens who get to enjoy the parodical properties that are usually more enticing than our real-world fare. As such, I can’t help but feel slightly jealous for the fictional characters who hold cards for the Springfield Public Library and the countless tomes of satirical literature it must contain. But, sadly, if I want to get all the necessary information for sane planning and sensible tomorrow, I’ll have to talk to the real Al Gore.

Over in the Simpsons subreddit, fans recently discussed which of The Simpsons’ many pieces of fake literature are their favorite. Here are their top picks, starting with…
