No Man’s Sky on Switch – October 7th

The stars are yours… now on Switch!

True, this game has been out for years. But with every patch and update, it just keeps getting better. Taking this epic game on the go is a huge win for spacefarers everywhere. You can chart an unknown galaxy, collecting resources, discovering new life forms, and generally being a space badass. The game originally launched in 2016 to very mixed and mostly meh reviews. Since then, it’s come a long way. No Man’s Sky is one of the most ambitious video games ever released. You explore a procedurally generated universe that has no end. You could explore this game for the rest of your life and not reach the farthest parts of the universe. That’s pretty damn cool. If you’re like me and the infinite expanse makes you feel fear in your jibly wiblies, there’s a campaign mode that is a little bit more on the rails. The Switch release won’t have multiplayer or cross-play initially, but with the track record of excellent updates and responsive action to player feedback, you can bet it’s only a matter of time.
