It’s the year of Taylor Swift. The pop star has seemingly elevated herself from probably being the biggest music star in the world to undoubtedly the biggest with her smash-hit “Eras Tour” that has been a cultural sensation.

Swift, who hadn’t toured since 2018, is in the midst of a 52-night, 20-city tour across the country that is setting attendance records and creating massive ticket prices on the secondary market on every stop. It is, by all measures, the most in-demand stadium tour ticket in American history.

And, she’s in the midst of re-recording her first six albums due to a dispute over her master copies with music executive Scooter Braun. She’s released two already, “Fearless” and “Red”. And, when Taylor Swift re-released “Red”, fans bullied movie star Jake Gyllenhaal after a special ten-minute version of her hit ballad “All Too Well”, purported to be about the breakup between the at-the-time much younger Swift and Gyllenhaal, was put on the album.

And, with her album “Speak Now” set to re-release on July 7th, the same treatment was surely going to be in store for musician John Mayer, whom Swift dated when she was 19 and he was 31. The song “Dear John” is on that album, and while Swift has never said directly it’s about the “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer, it’s pretty, obviously.

So, at Saturday night’s show in Minneapolis, she urged her fans to not bully anyone when the album comes out.

I was actually at a Taylor Swift show last weekend in Pittsburgh. Great show, incredible concert, what a talent. But, her die-hard fans, the “Swifties” are nuts. They are not going to listen to hear. It’s going to be a cruel summer for John Mayer.
