Stranger Things Star Francesca Reale in Two-Piece Workout Gear Does Pilates

It’s “take your dog to workout class day” for Francesca Reale! In a new social media post the Stranger Things star shows off her amazing body in exercise gear while on the Pilates reformer with her canine pal. “Gemma loves Pilates bootcamp,” she wrote about the Instagram Stories clip. How does the young actress approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits. 

What inspires Francesca? “Anything. An incredible exhibit at an art museum, a good book, music, an incredible meal. Anything that can feel somewhat extraordinary and rare in the moment I find very inspirational,” she tod A Book Of. When asked about her favorite book, the avid reader responded that it was Little Women. “I’ve always loved and admired Jo’s devotion to her writing and making her dreams come true. It’s an inspiration for me with my own career and dreams,” she said. 

When it comes time for self-care, you can find Francesca in the bath. “Netflix and tub 🛁,” she captioned a post. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Francesca is a coffee drinker, and often has a cup in hand. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Whether she is in Europe or New York City, you can find Francesca getting her steps in. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

In her recent post, Francesca gets in a Pilates workout. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
