The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, is one of the much-awaited films of 2024. The action comedy is directed by David Leitch and also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Stephanie Hsu, Teresa Palmer and Hannah Waddingham. Ryan and Emily’s movie has made an exciting Guinness World Record due to its action sequence.

As reported by PRNewswire, on March 13, the cast held a Special Screening of The Fall Guy in Los Angeles. At the venue, Ryan Gosling and David Leitch presented The Guinness World Records Certification to their stunt driver Logan Holladay. Logan worked as the stunt driver for Ryan Gosling’s character in the action movie. He made a new Guinness World Record for doing most cannon rolls in a car.

The report mentions that The Fall Guy stuntman Logan Holladay did eight and a half cannon rolls for a scene filmed in Syndey, Australia, in 2022. He broke the record and made my 2006 film Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig. For Casino Royal, stuntman Adam Kirley made a fantastic record of doing seven cannon rolls for the film.

What is a Cannon Roll stunt?

In a cannon roll stunt, a cannon-like device is placed under the car that shoots on the ground. The system kicks off when the vehicle reaches a specific speed, sending it into a sequence of rolls. For The Fall Guy, stunt driver Hollday pulled off the stunt in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was altered for the film and had an exterior fibreglass body.

Meanwhile, The Fall Guy is about an actor named Tom Ryder who goes missing from the sets of his film. Jody Moreno’s (Emily Blunt) directorial career is in jeopardy after Tom goes missing. Her ex-boyfriend Colt (Ryan), an ageing action choreographer, teams up with Jody to find Tom. The film is an adaptation of the 1980s TV series of the same name.

The film is slated to release on May 3, 2024.
