If you are at all interested in pop culture, then you’re probably aware of the family feud rumors that have been swirling the Beckhams for the last few months – largely due to the fact that Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, skipped all three of his dad, David Beckham’s, 50th birthday celebrations.

In case you missed it, the British soccer star turned 50 on May 2, but the parties kicked off back in March, when David shared snaps from his Miami bash that was attended by the likes of Tom Brady and Lionel Messi.
David also posted photos with his wife, Victoria Beckham, and their other three children: 22-year-old Romeo, 20-year-old Cruz, and 13-year-old Harper.
And if you’ve been following the Beckhams on social media over the years, you’ll have noticed that whenever they post a family photo without one of their kids, they’ll often make a point of saying that they are “missing” them in the caption, as seen here and here. This time around, David made no mention of 26-year-old Brooklyn’s absence.
Last week, David had two more birthday events that neither Brooklyn or Nicola attended: an intimate dinner, and a huge party in London full of stars like Tom Cruise, Gordon Ramsay, and Eva Longoria.
As with the first bash, David didn’t mention Brooklyn and Nicola’s absence in either of his Instagram captions.
By this point, even the least cynical of fans suspected that something was going on, and a source later told People: “There are tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family.” The insider added that “the relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” and said the couple had been invited to David’s celebrations but chose not to come. According to the source, the Beckhams “love and are always there for” Brooklyn, but are “just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
Amid the apparent feud, it has been widely reported that the tension stems from Romeo’s relationship with 24-year-old Kim Turnbull, who he was first linked to in November. Unverified reports claim that Brooklyn is unhappy with this romance as he briefly dated Kim, and is said to be wary of her “intentions” with his brother. However, others have claimed that Brooklyn and Kim never actually dated.

In short, it’s all rather messy. But while the Beckhams are normally rather good at rising above the headlines surrounding them, some seriously shady public Instagram comments between Romeo and Cruz undeniably fuel the situation.

First, some context. Before he started dating Kim, Romeo had a five-year on-again, off-again relationship with British model Mia Regan, who he split from for the final time in February last year.
Nicola and Mia grew incredibly close during the time they spent together before this breakup, and have remained close since. When Mia posted a photo of her Pop cover story to her Instagram account on Apr. 5, Nicola shared her admiration as she commented: “so beautiful mia 🩷✨,” which Mia liked at the time.
Just two days later, on Apr. 7, the Beckham brothers appeared to throw shade at Nicola’s comment when Romeo shared a collection of photos to his Instagram account — including pictures of Kim. Undeniably mocking Nicola, Cruz commented on the post: “So beautiful Romeo ✨🩷,” with Romeo replying: “😂😂”
The social media exchange went largely unnoticed when it took place a month ago, and the comments are still live on both Romeo and Mia’s pages.
You may recall that this isn’t the first time that Brooklyn and Nicola have been at odds with the rest of the Beckhams, with it being speculated that there was secret drama between Nicola and Victoria around the time of the Peltz-Beckham wedding in 2022.

However, the two seemed to make amends sometime in 2023, and were incredibly close up until this latest bout of drama.
