Despite their issues, the Duke of Sussex will be in the UK very soon to be his father following the news of his cancer diagnosis.

According to Page Six, a source noted that Harry will be on his way to Windsor Castle in a couple of days and the duke is already in contact with his father, King Charles.

It has also been revealed that Harry was kept in the loop about his father’s health since the king was admitted to the London Clinic to undergo surgery for an “enlarged prostate.”

Harry and William were reportedly both informed of the cancer diagnosis personally by King Charles.

In the meantime, it is still being determined if his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will go along to see her ailing father-in-law amid his cancer diagnosis.

Harry’s upcoming visit to the UK to see King Charles will serve as a reunion, as the last time the father and son duo were in a room together was during the king’s coronation in May 2023. The duke at the time did not stay very long as he immediately jetted back to California after the ceremony to be with his family and celebrate his son, Prince Archie’s birthday, which was happening on the same day.

Buckingham Palace announced the news of the king’s cancer diagnosis in a statement noting that Charles will be taking a break from official duties. They also emphasized that the king’s cancer diagnosis was not linked to his recent surgery for an “enlarged prostate.”

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace’s statement read.

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” it continued.

They noted that King Charles “is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”

“His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer,” the statement concluded.

In the meantime, the type of cancer the king has been diagnosed with has yet to be disclosed.
