In order to sing and soar across the stage while hanging upside down, the singer practiced nailing it all by having balls thrown at her stomach, Pink revealed to the outlet. It was her way of learning how to simultaneously sing and fly. To maintain her stamina, she works out three times a day while on tour, which includes  “two hours of pure, psychotic cardio at night” onstage. The morning and afternoon workouts push her. “I have so much energy,” she said.

When she’s not on tour, the singer still works out daily. “I like being strong,” she said. “I identify with my core, my intuition, and my strength. I have wide, big feet, and I joke, ‘The better to kick you with.’ I’m short, close to the ground, fast, and agile.” For years, Pink has trained with Jeanette Jenkins and mixes up workouts with HIIT, cardio, yoga, kickboxing, strength training, weights, and core routines.

After dealing with the loss of her father to cancer and the family’s nanny, in addition to getting a hip and double disc replacement surgery, Pink said she was “probably a bit depressed” and struggled to lose weight. “I would work out three hours a day, eat clean, and my metabolism was a dud—I couldn’t get anything started,” she explained/ “And I was like, ‘I’m exhausted, I’m sad, I haven’t been away from my family for three years—not even overnight. And I just need a minute.'”So she did a two-week wellness program in Spain where she followed the Kushi diet, an anti-inflammatory diet that’s rich in whole grains, beans, and vegetables, and meant to “deeply cleanse” the body. “It was the longest I’ve ever been away from my kids, and the biggest gift I’ve ever given myself,” she says. “I did it for me, which in turn would be for them.”

With two kids, a husband, and a hectic schedule, Pink wasn’t spending enough time on herself, but that changed when she entered the SHA Wellness Clinic.

“I got rest. I wasn’t getting rest before. I slept in a bed by myself for the first time in 11 years. I had time to meditate and cry and journal.”

Pink lives in Southern California, north of Santa Barbara where she’s surrounded by the ocean and woods, which she considers healing for her.  “In my career, I’m around so many people with so much energy directed at me,” she said, “and I also make noise for a living. So it’s important for my mental health to unplug and be in nature.”
