Nafissatou Thiam in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "High Jumping"

Nafissatou Thiam is putting her strong body to work – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympic athlete flaunts her amazing figure and shows off her track and field skills. “High jumping into another week of training,” she captioned the post. “Theres u and then theres others It’s just like that,” commented Cynthia Bolingo. “Flyyyyiiiiiiiing 🔥🔥🔥,” added Salomé Kora. How does the stunning athlete approach diet, fitness, and wellness? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

“I go to the gym twice a week, usually for about three hours. Before, I had to put things in place so you’d lose 30 minutes to set up and put things back. Now, I use time with more efficiency. It’s a huge difference. The focus is always the same, but it gives a new dynamic and it’s just easier to work there,” Nafissatou told Red Bull about how her renovated gym has made her workouts more efficient.

Nafissatou is tactical about her training. “You have to be a complete athlete on the track, so in the gym you have to work on the base of each discipline. You work different parts of the body; it’s not like you’re working on the specific technique of the javelin, for example. It also depends really on the time of the year – I don’t do the same all year. In winter, it’s more about trying to gain strength and in the summer it’s about preparing to be more explosive.”

As for motivation, “It’s not really an issue for me. I can still be a much better athlete than I am now. I think I can still get better. Always, the goal is to be the best athlete I can possibly be and I know that I’ve not reached that, so my motivation is still 100 percent,” Nafissatou said.  “My motivation is to be the best athlete I can be and not at all focusing on others. I have no control of what other athletes are doing. I’m trying to get to the limit that I can, be the best on every exercise so that I have no regrets and get to the championships to say ‘I know I did my best’, then have fun and show my best.”

Nafissatou considers running her “homework 🚲 🥵” as she captioned this post of her on a bike in her “training room. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Obviously running is Nafissatou’s main form of fitness. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
