NATIONAL Lampoon star Beverly D’Angelo has barely aged a day in 40 years since the hit movie as she performed onstage in Nashville last night.

The 72-year-old, who played Ellen Griswold in the popular franchise, looked and sounded incredible performing at the Ryman Auditiorum in Tennessee as part of Walkin’ After Midnight: The Music of Patsy Cline.

Beverly opted for a sparkling black suit and plunging leopard print blouse.

The star completed the glamorous look with a fedora hat.

The American actress was joined by the likes of Ashley McBryde, Mickey Guyton, Tanya Tucker and Wynonna Judd as part of the tribute.

Patsy shot to fame in the 40s with her incredible country music and is known for songs such as Hot Country.

The star died aged 30 in 1963.

Back in 1980 Beverly actually took on the role of Patsy in Coal Miner’s Daughter back in 1980.

The American History X star was later nominated for the Golden Globe award for best supporting actress after that role.

Beverly shared the news that she was going to star in the show back in March on Instagram.

She told fans: “I am helping to bring the magic of Patsy Cline’s music to The Ryman Auditorium on April 22, 2024. I’ll be filling you in with more details soon.”

Fans rushed to the comments section to share their excitement.

One wrote: “Love her music.”

Another said: “That sounds absolutely brilliant. Be a dream.”

“Oh I’m super excited for you, Beverly!,” a third added.

Arguably Beverly is best known for her role in the series of National Lampoon Vacation films.

She played main character Ellen in all the films which hit our screens in the 80s.

Her alter-ego was married to character Clark Wilhelm Griswold Jr AKA Sparky.

There are a number of movies in the franchise including National Lampoon’s Vacation, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Vegas Vacation and Vacation.

The movies were released between 1983 and 2015.

Fans were also treated to a spin-off that aired in 2003 called National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation 2.

Beverly has also appeared in numerous other TV shows and films over the years.

Her roles include Law & Order, Family Guy, The Simpsons and Cougar Town.

Others include A Streetcar Named Desire, Hair and American History X.
