Mayim, 48, made it official that she was done on the game show recently on Instagram.

The Blossom star removed that she was a host on Jeopardy! from her Instagram bio.

Mayim’s latest move came after she opened up earlier this week on the social media platform about being fired.

She captioned her post: “Jeopardy! announcement.”

The text-based message over a blue backdrop read: “As the Holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news.

“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!.”

She continued: “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family.

“For all of you who have supported me through this journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff of America’s favorite quiz show, thank you.”

‘WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE ONE HOST’

Jeopardy! confirmed the news on their official Instagram page an hour later.

It read: “Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated [or nightly] version of Jeopardy!

“We have made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers.

“And Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!.”

“We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to work with her in the future on primetime specials.”

Alex Trebek, who began hosting in 1984, died in November 2020 at age 80 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

In 2021, Bialik and Ken were tapped to host the game show through the calendar year.

The following summer (and after disgraced EP Mike Richards was named and un-named host), Bialik and Jennings were made the permanent hosts.

BIALIK BREAKS FROM JEOPARDY!

Jeopardy!’s monumental Season 40 premiered in September, which saw Ken host alone despite the pair supposed to share the role formerly held by Alex.

Mayim initially backed out of filming the final week of Jeopardy! Season 39 on May 2 when the Writers Guild of America went on strike, leaving Ken to pick up the slack.

After the Screen Actors Guild went on strike two months later, it was speculated that Ken would become the sole host for all things Jeopardy! – which was what happened.

Ken has handled all episodes since, including all episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy! that Mayim has hosted alone in the past.

Her months-long hiatus was a big shakeup, given they were both supposed to host, and fans also got even more comfortable seeing Ken every night.

Mayim has largely remained silent about her absence, but in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, broke her silence: “There’s a lot of complexity to this, but my general statement is always that I come from a union family.

“My grandparents were immigrants who worked in sweatshops, and my parents were public school teachers.”

She added, “While it’s not for me to personally judge anyone else’s decision, for me, I am a union supporter – pretty much all unions and what they fight for.

“I believe in that system even if it’s not perfect. I believe in getting educated about why people strike and what they’re striking for.”

Despite Hollywood’s strike being in the rearview, Mayim had not revealed if she planned to return to hosting.

Ratings have soared on Celebrity Jeopardy! despite her being completely absent.
