In a new social media post the Selling Sunset star shows off her amazing body in a sports bra and leggings after a day of self-care. “Thank you for squeezing me in Maddie,” she captioned the Instagram Stories image. “Your lymphatic drainage massages are #1.” How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Mary has a NordicTrack rowing machine, calling it a “must have” in a TikTok video. “I love this machine so much and have never experienced anything like it,” she says, adding that it is “hands down” her “favorite” piece of fitness equipment. The AFPA Fitness explains that a rowing machine exercises your upper body as well as your lower body. “The rowing stroke when using an indoor rower is composed of 65-75% leg work and 25-35% upper body work,” they say.

Mary, “not normally a morning person,” gets her sweat on during her pre-show “health kick” early in the morning, she told the New York Post. Working out first thing when you wake up is a great habit, because you are less likely to make excuses. 

“I’m really focused on [my health],”Mary told Naluda. One of her go-to workouts? “Pilates a few times a week.” Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mary also enjoys hot yoga. Harvard Health confirms that yoga is a great workout. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

“I love all veggies and eat them everyday… raw, sauteed, grilled, steamed, etc.” Mary told Naluda about her diet. What is her favorite cheat food? “CANDY! I love candy of all kinds, but my favorite is sour candy like Sour Patch Kids and sour gummy worms,” she told Naluda.

Mary enjoys regular massages. “Massage is part of integrative medicine,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Medical centers often offer it with standard treatment. It can be used for a wide range of medical conditions. Studies of massage benefits have found massage can:

  • Help reduce stress.
  • Lessen pain and muscle tightness.
  • Increase relaxation.
  • Improve the work of the immune system.”
