The Consequence Podcast Network is bursting at the seams to announce our first-ever comedy series, Long Time No See: The Podcast! Growing out of the successful bi-coastal Long Time No See Comedy showcase series and coming in partnership with Los Angeles’ Gold-Diggers, the new take on comedy interview shows premieres on Friday, March 22nd.
Long Time No See cofounders Jack Fink and Wes Brumbaugh have created a unique format that finds the hilarity in unexpected guests and off-the-cuff responses. Two comedians enter a room, both wearing blindfolds; they don’t know whom the other one is, only that they’re about to be asked a series of questions they’ll have to discuss with their mystery co-guest. Is it someone they know personally? Someone they admire? Or someone they’ve never even heard of?
It doesn’t matter! Whatever their relationship, the two comics will peel off their blindfolds and answer questions ranging from the inane to the absurd. What was your most recent bomb? What would be your opening line with your celebrity crush? What is normal at 3:00 p.m., but terrifying at 3:00 a.m.? The conversation that follows is a blend of stand-up, improv, and interview, keeping the talent on their toes as they get to know one another and reveal the weird, funny truths about themselves.
“We didn’t want to make another cookie-cutter comedy podcast,” says co-creater Brumbaugh. “So the random element of an unknown guest was appealing to us. It’s always great to capture the comedian’s reactions when they take off the blindfold — I just can’t help but laugh when they find out.”
Season 1 guest pairings on Long Time No See: The Podcast include Jiaoying Summers (Tiger Milf Podcast) and Fumi Abe (The Tonight Show), Steph Tolev (Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill) and Fatimah Taliah (Peacock’s Killing It), Noah Findling (Amazon Prime’s Coming to the Stage) and Irene Tu (Comedy Central), Brad Silnutzer (Cooking on High) and Jetski Johnson (Bad Friends), and many more. Episode 1 debuts Friday, March 22nd with Shapel Lacey (Comedy Central) and Matt Braunger (Comedy Central).
