Acres have released their first new music since 2019’s ‘Lonely World’, and they have come out swinging.
The track is called ‘Burning Throne’ is as grand and devastating as that image feels, with pulverising riffs and spine-tingling vocals aplenty.
Compared to the light that could be felt peaking through the cracks on their previous material, this feels pitch black in so many wonderful ways, and is an exciting way to kick off a new chapter for the band.
Vocalist Ben Lumber had this to say:
“‘Burning Throne’ speaks about how one minute you can feel like you have everything you’ve ever needed around you and then all of a sudden it all gets taken away. The track reflects on the emotions we were feeling during the pandemic not only as a band but as individuals.”
