Kesha Shares Swimsuit Photo Calling 7/11 "Church"

Kesha is heating up 7-Eleven – in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post the TiK ToK singer shows off her washboard abs in a bathing suit top while perusing the aisles of the convenience store and drinking straight out of a Slurpee machine. “Anyone else go to church this morning ?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “My queen,” commented one of her followers. “Gorgeous girl,” added another. How does the singer approach diet and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.

To get in shape for her tour a few years ago, Kesha trained daily. “When she is in town, she stays consistent — mainly three times a week, sometimes four. Sessions are one hour long, but she is also great about working out on her own,” her trainer, Kit Rich told Shape.

If you want to “get that booty” that Kesha is regularly shaking on stage, plan on doing a lot of strength training exercises. “I incorporate squats with weights, plyometrics, and lunges. I get creative by using a lot of variations,” Rich said. “Kesha loves a challenge! I switch it up all the time. Today, we did a 24 minute Tabata-inspired routine that only focused on arms using 10-pound weights, an eight-pound ball and a resistance band. So she did a total of six exercises for four minutes each (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off).” He adds: “The lunges, squats, and plyo not only target her glutes, hamstrings, and quads, but help boost her heart rate and metabolism.”

Kesha rounds out the second half of her workout with pilates “mainly focused on her core,” said Rich. “With Kesha, I’ve noticed such an improvement in strength. With Pilates, she has improved quickly. The moves are very intricate and specific, and she really loves it. She requests it every time she comes,” he continued. “Then I do moves on the Pilates machines such as the reformer or Cadillac to target her booty.” He adds: “The Pilates moves help with specificity to target and shape the backside.”

Kesha explained to Refinery29 that ditching the dollar sign from her name had to do with battling her eating disorder. “It [losing the $] happened after I went to rehab for my eating disorder. I let go of my facade about being a girl who didn’t care. My facade was to be strong, and I realized it was total bullshit. I took out the $ because I realized that was part of the facade. It was a journey and I’m happy — that was me in that part of my life,” she said.

Kesha refuses to let the bullies get to her. “Criticism online used to tear me up. Then I realized you can’t make people you don’t know your higher power,” she told Refinery29. “The internet shouldn’t be a place that makes us feel unsafe.”

Kesha is a believer in talk therapy and meditation. “I do have a therapist, and I do chanting and meditation,” Kesha told Nylon. “Some days I forget to, so I’m not like some perfect person about it, but I just notice when I get really stressed out, and I try to just make time to be a person. And honestly, I just think it’s really important to surround yourself with people who love you for you. I have a couple amazing friends; I could probably count them all on one hand.”
