NFL sports media personality Kay Adams was down at the Kentucky Derby this weekend to host her Up & Adams radio show and made sure to participate in all of the weekend’s festivities.

After learning how to make an official Woodford Reserve Mint Juelp, Adams then took on the challenge of trying and rating the food that can be found at Churchill Downs.

In her video, the 38-year-old former Good Morning Football host tried fried pickles (for the first time), jalapeno poppers, mac & cheese, shrimp & grits, and then a cigar to cap it all off.

While hosting her show at the Kentucky Derby, Adams spoke to former Bills center Eric Wood, racehorse owner Mike Repole,  jockey Tyler Gaffalione, celebrity chef Bobby Flay, NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon, Browns QB Jameis Winston, Olympic break-dancer Sunny Choi, and former NBA player Chandler Parsons.

The winner of the 150th Kentucky Derby was Mystik Dan, who began the race with 18-1 odds and was jockeyed by Brian Hernandez Jr.

Mystik Dan’s win at the Kentucky Derby came via a photo finish — the 10th in the history of the iconic race and the first in 28 years. Fierceness, who was the race’s favorite with 3-1 odds, ultimately finished 15th.

In the thrilling photo finish at the Churchill Downs on Sunday, May 5, Mystik Dan and Hernandez Jr. narrowly edged out Sierra Leone, the second-favorite with 9-2 odds, and Forever Young.
