According to a new report, Kate was shocked by the resurfacing of old rumors concerning Prince William’s alleged affair with Rose Hanbury.
A source told the National Enquirer (via Radar Online) that the rumors first appeared in the media several years ago and that Kate confronted William about them.
The insider said, “But he denied everything and even tried to laugh off the chatter.”
However, Kate did not take the rumors well this time. She was allegedly very upset to see them circulating again, especially “as she goes through a slow, painful recovery” from her recent abdominal surgery.
For several years, there have been rumors about a secret romance between William and Hanbury. They were spurred on by the fact that Hanbury and her husband, filmmaker David Rocksavage, have their home very close to Anmer Hall, which is William and Kate’s country retreat home.

Since Kate took time off from her Royal duties and disappeared from the public eye for her abdominal surgery and recovery, there have been tons of conspiracy theories.
These have postulated that her health issues were more severe than just an abdominal problem and that her marriage to William was on the rocks.
Hanbury got dragged into the conspiracy theories when social media users brought up the rumors about her affair with William.
A source told the news outlet, “Kate was apoplectic as the gossip spread through high society circles… There has long been talk that with her pedigree Rose would have been an ideal match for William. People say he’s carried a torch for her for years and has told friends she was ‘the one that got away.’”
A source previously spoke to Radar about the affair and Kate’s feelings towards Rose, saying the princess is “extremely jealous.” However, the insider added that she’s still aware of the pressure that rests on her and William to resolve any issues in their marriage “for the sake of the crown.”
Kate Middleton Has Reportedly Been Struggling To Recover
Kate’s recovery from her abdominal surgery has also reportedly been difficult, which has made the rumors even more of a nuisance to the princess.
A source told Radar: “Kate is struggling to eat. She continues to recover after the surgery, but the recuperation has been more difficult than expected.”
They further explained that Kate was “already painfully thin,” so the resurfaced rumor affected her recovery and caused “major concern behind palace walls.”
The Princess of Wales was finally discharged from the hospital on January 29 and has since been recovering privately.
She’s allegedly been seen four times since the discharge, each time worsening the rumors and conspiracy theories.
The Princess Was Recently Spotted At A Farm Stand With Prince William
The most recent sighting of Kate was last Saturday, when she and William were spotted visiting a shop not far from their home in Windsor. According to The Sun, multiple eyewitnesses saw the couple visiting the Windsor Farm Shop, and Kate allegedly looked “happy, relaxed, and healthy” as she walked around the store.
One eyewitness, Nelson Silva, claimed that Kate and William looked relaxed as they stayed together. They said, “I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere.”
Silva further noted, “Kate looked happy and relaxed. They look happy just to be able to go to a shop and mingle. Kate looked relieved like it was a success going to a shop. It felt natural.”
However, on social media, many claim that the woman allegedly spotted was a body double and not Kate herself.
Kate Middleton Look-Alike Denies Being In Farm Stand Video
Amid claims that an impersonator posed as the princess in the now-viral farm stand video, famous Kate Middleton look-alike Heidi Agan refuted claims of her involvement in the alleged sighting at the Windsor Farm Stand alongside Prince William.
In a chat with The Mirror, Agan said: “There has obviously been some speculation about whether it was Kate and William in that footage and stills.”
“In fact, my own social media has gone crazy as people think it is me, but I know it is not,” she stated, clarifying that she was “at work” when the video was recorded.
Agan further added: “I know that is not me. I 100 percent believe that is Kate Middleton and William in that video.”
