Justin Bieber’s Fans Furious At Him For Posting About ‘Prayers’ Instead Of Music

Singer Justin Bieber has angered his fans by sharing a video urging them to download an app that provides people with “guided prayers.”

While the post itself was harmless, fans of the star took to the comment section to slam him, claiming they thought he was announcing his next album or a new single.

This comes shortly after his father-in-law, Stephen Baldwin, fueled rumors about his marriage to Hailey Bieber by sharing a video asking the public to offer prayers for the young couple.

Justin is very serious about his spiritual life and clearly wants his fans to be serious about theirs, too. On Thursday, the “What Do You Mean?” singer shared a post in which he encouraged his followers to download the Churchome prayer app for “guided prayers.”

He wrote, “DOWNLOAD THE CHURCHOME APP FOR MORE GUIDED PRAYERS AND MOREEEEEEEEEE LINK IN BIO.”

The post was accompanied by a video that included a prayer and visuals showcasing a magnificent view of trees and mountaintops.

The app in question belongs to Justin’s Church, Churchome. In 2022, he confirmed his exit from his former church, Hillsong, after his friend and “spiritual advisor,” Carl Lentz, was fired over certain “moral” issues.

The singer said at the time, “AND BTW HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH.. FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF CHURCHOME.”

Since then, Justin and his wife, Hailey Bieber, have been spotted attending Churchome. Late last year, the pair were seen leaving dinner with the church’s leader, Judah Smith, and his wife, Chelsea Smith.

Fans Ignore Justin Bieber’s Prayer App And Request New Music

Fans of the singer didn’t seem too pleased with his “prayer” post, as they stormed the comment section to request new music.

One person wrote, “My guy got me thinking we had a new bop on the way,” while another said, “I thought this was gonna be an album announcement till I read the caption [crying emoji].”

A third person asked, “Can [you] like release some music boy [?]”

“D— really thought this was an album announcement,” said a fourth individual.

Despite the subtle criticisms, some of the singer’s fans supported him and thanked him for discussing spiritual matters.

“Y’all want new music, not realizing that you can’t pour from an empty cup. He is human, for goodness sake. Let him live and focus on his wellbeing,” one person wrote.

Another said, “He’s trying to lead you all to Jesus, and you’re concerned about new music, smh.”

Justin’s latest call to fans to download a prayer app comes after his wife’s father, Stephen Baldwin, sparked concerns about their marriage.

Baldwin shared a cryptic video from Victor Marx, founder of All Things Possible Ministries, on his Instagram stories. The short clip featured Justin playing the guitar and singing along to “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever” by Delirious? and the Hillsong Worship.

The video contained a message that read: “Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord.”

It continued in part: “There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face, and also, the enemy doesn’t want them to draw closer to Jesus. So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage and life in general. So thank you.”

Since the video went viral, fans of the couple have expressed worry over the state of their marriage. Reports also claimed that Hailey was mad at her dad for reposting the video on his Instagram page.

Hailey recently shut down the rumors that stemmed from the video shared by her dad. She took to Instagram to respond to the “blind item” speculations making the rounds on TikTok about her marriage to Justin.

A blind item is gossip or news items published without disclosing people’s identities, usually from the entertainment industry.

Speaking on the speculations, Hailey said, “Just FYI the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong. Made out of thin air… come from the land of delusion.”

She added, “So I know it may be fun feeding into these stories, but just know they’re always false xx sorry to spoil it.”
