Jack Antonoff Calls Kanye West A ‘Cry Baby’ Over Album Release Date Clash

Jack Antonoff arrives for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, 2020.

Singer and Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff is seemingly displeased with Kanye West as he finds himself in the midst of an album release date clash with the controversial rapper.

The renowned producer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the situation, calling West a “little crybaby.” Antonoff previously called out West in 2022 for his anti-Semitic comments, warning the rapper not to “f— with us.”

The Bleachers’ frontman took to X to address the coincidence and shared his feelings about the Yeezy founder choosing to release his long-awaited album on the same day the Bleachers were going to release their self-titled album.

West has postponed the release of his “Vultures” album several times from last year. Reports first surfaced suggesting he was going to release it “imminently” in August last year, but that didn’t see the light of day.

Recently slated for a January 2024 release, “Vultures” debut seemingly suffered another setback as West confirmed February 9 as the new release date, the same day for the Bleachers’ latest project.

Unhappy with the development, Antonoff relayed strong words towards him, saying, “Kanye on bleachers release date is hilarious little cry baby b—–.”

Fans of both artists joined the conversation on X, and it turned out to be a war of words between both fanbases.

One person told Antonoff not to “worry,” adding that they’d “be streaming-blasting bleachers until Kanye can’t hear himself talk.”

“JACK, HAVE TAYLOR PRE RELEASE LWYMMD TV JUST TO SPITE HIM, OR TIWWCHNT OR EVEN REP TV,” another fan wrote.

“Jack Antonoff is just like Swifties; they want to be included in everything so bad,” another person wrote, slamming Antonoff and the Swift fandom.

A fourth person said, “Kanye dropping on Bleachers day? Guess it’s time to grab some popcorn and watch the memes unfold. Maybe we can work out a double feature, Grammy style?”

Some others seemed not to know who Antonoff was, with one person quipping, “Who is Anton, and why are people telling us to jack him off?” while another added, “Nobody has heard of this Jack guy.”

This is not the first time Antonoff has taken a swipe at West. He once took a firm stand against the rapper’s past antisemitic comments, expressing his strong disapproval and calling for West to stop talking about Jews.

During a 2022 tour stop in Columbia, Missouri, Antonoff, who himself is Jewish, took to the stage to condemn West’s antics.

“I’m Jewish, and we take a lot of pride in our basketball skill,” the musician said. “So don’t f— with us until we roll our ankles in our platform Docs. And still don’t f— with us.”

Aiming to be more direct, he remarked, “Kanye, don’t f— with us.”

Antonoff continued, “Here’s the thing about that little b—-. So Bowie went through the fascism phase, right? It’s dicey shit, but the motherf—– ‘s making some of the best records that ever happened. Kanye’s so far from good work. It’s just — what do we do besides just tell him to get the f— out of here?”

“I would just do anything to wake up and not hear about Kanye, especially when it’s about the f—–‘ Jews, man,” he added.

Kanye West’s New Album Will Come In Three Parts

Not one to be predicted, the rapper has announced that his “Vultures” album will be released in three volumes starting in February.

Dates for the first part release of his collaboration with R&B singer Ty Dolla $ign have been set as February 9, with the second part coming in on March 8 and the last on April 5.

The announcement follows the release of a video trailer for the project that featured clips of a burning home, figures disguised in black cloaks, wolves, and more grueling images.

West previously came under fire in November last year after a track off the album was released, with the lyrics reading, “How am I antisemitic? I just f—— a Jewish b—-.” The rapper has since apologized to the Jewish community, noting he never intended to “hurt” anyone with his remarks.
