It seems like Will King is living the dream after discovering the unusual job, which he does alongside his other side hustles.

Unlike other teenagers who might have a small Saturday job, the TikTok star was desperate to become financially free as soon as possible.

At just 16, he started dabbling in selling items on Amazon and regularly made between £200 – £1000 per month.

However, this wasn’t enough for the young entrepreneur who had dreamed of a luxurious lifestyle.

Now in his late teens, the influencer began to explore other possible side hustles, including reselling items he’d found at car boots, using cash back apps and even taking on extra work.

For those who aren’t familiar with this, production studios will often hire members of the public to appear as extras in film and TV shows.

Despite having never acted in his life, the content creator revealed that it had been some of the easiest money he’d ever made – even earning him between £154 – £264 per day.

“This isn’t a joke, I’ve just come back from working for 2 days and it’s the easiest money I’ve ever made,” he explained, with the content creator even showing off his impressive pay slips in the viral video.

Even better, you won’t have to learn any lines as you’ll often just be in the background of the shot.

Some studios will even offer you meals and drive you to location – depending the budget of the project.

According to Will, he can often make as much as £300 per day from this with long periods of time spent sat in holding rooms before filming.

During this time, the now 18-year-old will often work on his other side hustles or chat with other extras.

Working just a few extra days a month has helped the youngster achieve his financial goals, so this is perfect for those that are self-employed.

Having worked as an extra for two years, he added: “You never have to have any ability in acting…I’ve never acted in my life but anyone can do it.

“There can be long days but if you are self-employed or need some more money, acting extra work is the easiest money to be made.”

If you are tempted to step into the spotlight, the content creator even listed agencies you could apply to such as Madog, Universal Extra and Cast and Collective.

Before you start planning your Hollywood career though, it’s best to do your research and find an agency that works in your local area.

You should also avoid any agencies that expect you to pay for a pricey portfolio, as most reputable casting companies will just need a few photos and a brief description.

If you do make it to a film set, make sure to bring lots of layers and any documentation you might need – such as ID and your national insurance number.

With just a few simple clicks, this could be the start of your Hollywood career.

Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income?

MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle.

The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income – but you need to know the rules.

When you’re employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don’t have to.

But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves.

Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: “Caution should be taken if you’re earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable.

“The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products.”

You can make profit of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you’ll usually need to pay tax.

Stephen added: “You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax.

“The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income.”

If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe – plus extra fees on top.
