The actress has been getting a lot of coverage lately over her very noticeable reactions to the ski accident trial. She rolled her eyes a lot, threw out some comical side eyes, and even scoffed serval times from her seat.

That being said, it is so on brand for Paltrow to release a statement that kept that same energy. “I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity,” she opened her account. “I am pleased with the outcome, and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”

The case ended up playing out in Paltrow’s favor, so how can she not be excited, seeing as $300,000 was on the line for an accident she insists she did not cause despite Terry Sanderson, the optometrist, had claimed.

Paltrow countersued Sanderson for $1 because; she doesn’t need the money; it’s the principal of the matter. He claimed he suffered head injuries and blamed the entire downhill crash on the Iron Man actress.

A jury found the accident to be Sanderson’s fault. In true classy fashion, Paltrow held no malice for Sanderson; it was reported that on her way out of the courtroom, she whispered, “I wish you well,” and he responded, “Thank you, dear.”

When asked by a reporter if the lawsuit was worth it, the retired doctor said, “Absolutely not.” He continued, “I believe she thinks she has the truth.” It sounds like he isn’t keeping it as classy as Paltrow is!

This isn’t quite over for Sanderson; since he failed at nabbing $300,000k from Paltrow, he could be paying more than a dollar. Paltrow also countersued for her legal fees to be paid. This could go any way.

On the one hand, Paltrow doesn’t need his money to pay her legal fees, and she did wish him well, so we know she isn’t bitter. But on the other hand, she would have to pay out of her pocket for something that went too far.

Paltrow isn’t dealing with a little rinky dink law firm here; she probably has the best, and the fee is the fee…

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Kids Helped A Lot

The mom of two may not have been able to do this without the help of her kid’s daughter, Apple Martin, and son, Moses Martin. Both kids wrote statements that were read in court about the incident that happened, moreover, the aftermath of who hit who, and what they heard or remembered from the day.

Moses said he saw the incident go down because he was skiing near his mom on the slope. He testified that his mom was yelling and swearing; she was upset and accused Sanderson of slamming into her back.

He also testified that Sanderson was quite apologetic and seemed to take a bit of accountability only to change his story a few days later.

Paltrow has got to be thankful this whole ordeal is done.
