Supermodel Gisele Bündchen‘s mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, has reportedly passed away at the age of 75. She died at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre Sunday.

Nonnenmacher, who was a retired banker, was married to Valdir Bündchen, a university professor. The couple shared six daughters, including Gisele and her twin sister Patricia.

According to a report, Brazillian supermodel, Gisele Bündchen has lost her mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher. The 75-year-old passed away on Sunday following her battle with cancer.

Besides Gisele, Nonnenmacher had five other daughters, namely Patrícia, Rafaela, Raquel, Graziela, and Gabriela. She was also a retired banker, who worked once worked at Banco do Brasil.

There will be a wake for Nonnenmacher at the Metropolitan Crematorium in Porto Alegre’s Ecumenical Chapel on Monday morning, after which will then be followed by a farewell ceremony.

In the meantime, Gisele has yet to speak on the death of her mother. She last shared a series of photos of Nonnenmacher in 2022 to mark her 73rd birthday.

Gisele wrote at the time, “Happy birthday Mom! I am forever grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for us. Thank you for always loving, inspiring, and teaching us. Thank you for giving me life! Love you so much!”

During a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar for a cover shoot, Gisele shared a heartwarming memory of her mother, while noting how she inspired her meal-planning.

She said, “If we had [a] barbecue on Sundays, all the rest of the meat would go to arroz carreteiro on Mondays, which was just rice and meat mixed with some onions and tomatoes.”
