General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that after William Lipton’s latest return as Cameron Webber, many fans were hoping to see more of him. It was certainly nice to get a little visit from Cam, even if the circumstances were sad due to Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) memorial service.
The good news is things are looking up in Lipton’s career since he’s got an exciting new project in the works.
The bad news is that’ll be taking up a lot of Lipton’s time, so Cam’s loved ones will just have to carry on without him – at least for now.
As GH viewers have witnessed on the show, Lipton sings and plays guitar in real life – just like Cameron.
You might remember Lipton performing with his bandmates on The Savoy stage back in 2022.
Now Lipton has a chance to share his talent on a new series that’s set to air on Amazon Prime Video.
Lipton’s next gig involves both acting and singing, so that should be a fun opportunity all around.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Runarounds will involve the fictional tales of Lipton’s actual band, so it’s a music-based show that’s sure to be intriguing.
The group came together in 2021 following a casting call for Outer Banks, which ultimately featured Lipton and his bandmates in the third season on Netflix.
Although The Runarounds isn’t an Outer Banks spinoff, it’s about the same band.
The eight-episode drama also comes from Outer Banks’ co-creator Jonas Pate and will be filmed in North Carolina like OBX.
Axel Ellis, Jesse Golliher, Zendé Murdock and Jeremy Yun will be joining William Lipton for the series since they’re all part of the group.
Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira will also have roles on The Runarounds, so they’ve got a great cast in place.
Of course, it’s possible Lipton could return to GH down the road, but he’ll certainly be busy for the foreseeable future thanks to this new gig.
It’s fantastic to see William Lipton doing so well outside of the soap world, so we wish him the best of luck – even if it means he won’t be back as Cameron Webber anytime soon.
